We opened our first Harvest of India restaurant in November, 2004. Gawler was opened in July 2006 and Port Noarlunga in 2009. Between us, we have over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. That’s separate to the great pleasure we’ve had in entertaining family and guests in our homes. The Bunyip, one of SA’s oldest newspapers, was founded in 1863. It is published every Wednesday circulating in the Council areas of Gawler, Barossa, Light, Playford, Wakefield, Mallala and Clare & Gilbert Valleys. The Bunyip, based in Gawler, is growing rapidly as the district experiences a massive population and housing boom. Favoured by city commuters, Gawler boasts “the best of town and country”. The Gawler region retains its country feel, with a wide spread farming community and is the gateway town to the famous Barossa Valley wine region, also experiencing huge growth. The Golden Fleece Hotel, established in 1839, was known as the Old Spot Hotel and has now returned to its original name. With great food, a new Pizza Baa, beer garden misters in the summer and a double sided gas fire in the winter, The Golden Fleece Hotel has a bright and inviting atmosphere, ideal for dining and socialising all year round. The hotel has a large open plan dining room, bar and beer garden, private gaming room and undercover parking.
