Nixon’s Function Centre is open for all greyhound race meetings, which are normally held every Tuesday afternoon and Sunday in the early evening. The current race schedule is available at gawlergreyhounds.com The restaurant has a spectacular view overlooking the Gawler Greyhound Race Track. You will enjoy dining on the delicious cuisine from our extensive a la carte menu and our tempting specials, whilst watching the magnificent greyhounds racing. Dining during race days is a unique experience, which will be enjoyed by all. There are full bar facilities where you can enjoy moderately priced drinks, and If you fancy a wager, a complete TAB service is available. There is no entrance fee to enjoy greyhound racing at its best, and you don’t need to be a member of the Club to enjoy the excellent facilities. If you have never been to the greyhounds before, you will be most welcome. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a quality meal in Gawler, then look no further than Nixons Function Centre. Ebb and Flow Counselling launched in Gawler in December 2023. I am Fleur Tucker, the counsellor at the practice. I support clients from the age of 12 to adulthood in areas such as anxiety, grief and loss, managing change, interpersonal relationships and stress. I have a particular interest in helping young people with social skills and emotional literacy. My qualification is a Post Graduate Diploma of Counselling. I have previous experience in pastoral care and other types of support in the fields of education, welfare and administration. Having parented 3 adult children, I have general life experience as well as specific expertise in counselling. My consulting room is in Natalie Hooper’s OT practice, at 169 Murray St, Gawler. My fees are affordable and I charge on a sliding scale to ensure my service is as accessible as possible. When it comes to computers in the Gawler area, Michael Jacob is unique. Not only was he the first in town to install commercial systems for others, he did it in his spare time from the back room of his Fashion business in Murray street Gawler! And the computer business took off so successfully that eventually he sold the fashion business and set up on his own as Advanced Business Machines. Today he operates from conveniently located premises as mycomputerman in the arcade at the rear of the curtin shop with access from Murray and High streets and just across the road from the new TAFE campus. Michael Jacob has been in business in Gawler virtually all his life, taking over Jacob’s Fashions from his late father Gordon. For many years he was at the forefront of town business and tourism promotion – serving as president of Gawler Chamber of Commerce for some years and contributing to the community through various groups and activities.
