Steinborner Holden

The Steinborner business at Gawler was formed and opened on January 3rd 1984. It was originally a partnership between Michael Steinborner and Malcolm Hage [the owner of the Holden dealership at Tanunda]. Michael Steinborner was given a 10-year buy-out agreement instigated by GMH and in June 1994 purchased the remaining share of the business at which time the name was changed from Steinhage to Steinborner Holden. At the beginning in 1984 a staff of 6 was employed that has grown to the present day number of over 90. It is a major contributor to Holden and the Gawler community consistently selling over 50 new Holden products each month. It is also Holden’s No 1 buyer of executive and fleet return vehicles. Steinborner Holden is currently South Australia’s most awarded dealer receiving Holden’s Chairman’s award – 2 years in a row, The Holden Grand Masters award – 2 years in a row plus Best Small Business award for 2005. The growth of the business is attributed to commitment to value, quality and service. Steinborner Holden’s Service Department offers servicing for all models and makes.

This means that if you have a disability, injury or health condition, including mental illness we can help you get a job. Get into the workforce sooner with Maxima, and learn to love Mondays again. Our five-year strategic plan says a lot about our strengths and the things we care about: closing the gap in Indigenous employment outcomes; assisting people with injury, health condition or disability to gain and keep meaningful employment; upskilling new entrants and existing workers; and helping other disadvantaged minority groups to find their way into the workforce. We are driven by a desire to make a real difference and are rewarded every day by the life-changing outcomes we create […]

The Bunyip Newspaper

The Bunyip, one of SA’s oldest newspapers, was founded in 1863. It is published every Wednesday circulating in the Council areas of Gawler, Barossa, Light, Playford, Wakefield, Mallala and Clare & Gilbert Valleys. The Bunyip, based in Gawler, is growing rapidly as the district experiences a massive population and housing boom. Favoured by city commuters, Gawler boasts “the best of town and country”. The Gawler region retains its country feel, with a wide spread farming community and is the gateway town to the famous Barossa Valley wine region, also experiencing huge growth.  There is an urban feel to the town, but Gawler remains a major regional commercial centre with large shopping centres throughout the district and an extensive educational system. A focus on equine-related pursuits, including thoroughbred racing, harness racing and leisure based activities on local hobby farms, complements the many sporting clubs. The Bunyip is part of the Taylor Group of Newspapers, with sister newspapers in SA’s Riverland at Renmark (The Murray Pioneer), Loxton (The Loxton News), Waikerie (The River News) and Pinnaroo (The Border Times). For further information about The Bunyip and multi-paper buys with attractive rates for all five newspapers contact the Advertising Department on (08) 8522 1233.
