Nixon’s Function Centre is open for all greyhound race meetings, which are normally held every Tuesday afternoon and Sunday in the early evening. The current race schedule is available at gawlergreyhounds.com The restaurant has a spectacular view overlooking the Gawler Greyhound Race Track. You will enjoy dining on the delicious cuisine from our extensive a la carte menu and our tempting specials, whilst watching the magnificent greyhounds racing. Dining during race days is a unique experience, which will be enjoyed by all. There are full bar facilities where you can enjoy moderately priced drinks, and If you fancy a wager, a complete TAB service is available. There is no entrance fee to enjoy greyhound racing at its best, and you don’t need to be a member of the Club to enjoy the excellent facilities. If you have never been to the greyhounds before, you will be most welcome. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a quality meal in Gawler, then look no further than Nixons Function Centre. Asian Central is a small, family-run business which has been providing fresh, quality Asian cuisine since 2010. We have been rated as the best Asian restaurant in Salisbury consistently since opening and in March 2017, a new Gawler restaurant was debuted. We have recently won a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor. The owner and head chef, Hung, first came to Australia from Vietnam in 1985 at the age of 22. He worked in various occupations but his passion was in cooking. Finally in 1999, Hung studied to become a professional chef. With his determination and hard work by 2002 he became the head chef at Lemongrass on Rundle Street, Adelaide. In August 2010, Hung opened the first Asian Central with the aim of celebrating local produce, authentic and fresh flavours. With 16 years of experience now under his belt and with the help of his lovely wife, Ha, and their daughter, Maria, Hung and his family are determined to share their passion for food and to provide a welcoming experience to each and every person who comes through their doors.
