The ‘2018-2024 Gawler Activation Strategy’ is an important strategic plan of Council and is currently being reviewed by Council. A Survey is now open to all and will assist to shape and update the Strategy to reflect the needs and wants of the Community.
As a member of the Town of Gawler Community you are encouraged to complete this survey at https://ow.ly/I8TT50R3RCH and contribute to the review. The Survey closes on Sunday 28 April 2024 with all responses collated and reported to the Corporate and Community Services Committee at the meeting on the 14 May 2024.
Reviewing the Strategy is an important opportunity to gather community feedback, identify gaps and consider new opportunities that can make the Strategy better.
Community engagement on the Gawler Activation Strategy is being undertaken by Council in two Phases:
Phase 1 – April/May 2024 – To inform the community on the development of the Gawler Activation Strategy and to understand what the community likes about the current strategy and what initiatives and improvements the community wishes to see. This is being done by:

- Online or paper Survey. The Survey can be access via the link https://ow.ly/I8TT50R3RCH and paper copies are available with boxes for returning these at Council’s Customer Service points including Council’s Customer Service (43 High Street, Gawler East), Gawler Visitor Information Centre (2 Lyndoch Road, Gawler), Gawler Sport and Community Centre (Nixon Terrace, Gawler) and Gawler Civic Centre Library (89-91 Murray Street, Gawler).
- Phase 2 – July/August 2024 – Draft Gawler Activation Strategy 2025-2030 released for public consultation after feedback from the Survey and public consultation incorporated into the document.
