The Annual “Christmas in Gawler” –
Shop Local Competition is returning for 2022.
It’s time to register your business as a participant. Registrations will close 24/10/22. Consumers, tell your favourite Gawler businesses that you want them to participate so you can have a chance to win some awesome prizes!
What do you need to do?
1. register to have your Town of Gawler business participate in the Shop Local competition (businesses must be a member of GBDG)
2. have a competition box and entry forms within your store/business premises
3. let us know if you would also like to have a poster displayed in your store/business premises, of one of the winners of the 2022 Town of Gawler Christmas Card Competition. This will be advertised as part of a trail map and could potentially bring even more customers to your business.
This years prizes are:
1st prize – is an Engel Portable Fridge-Freezer valued at $1,079, from Gawler Fishing and Outdoors
2nd prize – is an accommodation and meals package for the Gawler Arms Hotel, valued at $270 and a $50 Gawler Wallis Cinema voucher
3rd prize – is $200 worth of gift cards/vouchers from local Town of Gawler businesses
So what’s in it for you as a business owner? Potential extra sales from customers who want to enter the competition and free marketing and promotion of your business by GBDG as a participant in the competition.
You also have the chance to win a prize for yourself.
For the business that does the best job of promoting the Christmas in Gawler – Shop Local Competition, GBDG will provide them with a free marketing video, developed by us, for your business’s use.
All you have to do is:
1. encourage your customers to spend a minimum of $20 in one transaction to go into the draw to win some amazing prizes
2. share marketing material that we will supply to you, to promote the event and your business’s involvement, on your business socials
3. tag Gawler Business Development Group in all your shares and use supplied hashtags
4. encourage your followers to come and support your business for their chance to win some amazing prizes
How Do We Judge the Winning Business?
1. each post and/or share by your business about this event on your socials, using supplied tags/hashtags etc, will be worth 1 point
2. each validated competition entry form that your business receives, will be worth 1 point
