We are a family operated optometry practice, specialising in quality care and eyewear. Our team is friendly, caring, professional and hard-working.

Service targets, not sales targets, are our goal.

Husband and wife optometrists, Ashley and Ruth Grace, began practice as A&R Grace Optometrists in 1984 with two practices – one in Murray St Gawler and the other in Murray St Tanunda.

There is no substitute for years of experience.

There have been many changes in optometry in recent years, and we have kept up with these changes because we are committed to providing high quality service. Our practices are fully equipped with the latest technology.

A selection of what we offer:

  • Optical coherence tomography
  • Retinal photography
  • Computerised visual field analysis
  • Gonioscopy
  • Tonometry: contact and non-contact

A thorough eye examination takes time. We do not believe in cutting corners when it comes to your welfare. We allow approximately 40 minutes for an initial consultation. We are prepared to allow as long as necessary to achieve the best possible result for you.

Part of our care for you is providing you with great glasses. Spectacle frames must fit well, be suitable for your prescription, be comfortable to wear and look great. Our staff are highly trained to find the frame that is just right for you. We know that you want to achieve an individual look, so we source frames from a wide range of suppliers across the world. Our range is constantly changing to keep up with the latest fashion trends.

Our lenses are individually hand-crafted by an Adelaide owned and operated laboratory where workmanship and exacting standards are paramount. Every set of lenses is customised to your specific needs and nothing is mass-produced. Most spectacles are finished and ready to be collected within a matter of days.

We believe that there are many ways of making glasses incorrectly, but only one way to make them properly.
