The Gawler Show is South Australia’s Largest Regional Show and Gawler’s key tourism event, and is planned, managed and coordinated by a not-for-profit organisation and is almost exclusively run by volunteers. The Gawler Agricultural, Horticultural & Floricultural Society Inc. (the Society) that organises the Gawler Show celebrates its 170th year since its establishment in 1854. The Society prides itself on giving back to our local community and in the past 5 years we have returned over $75,000 to our local service groups, sporting clubs and various other local organisations.
Sponsoring a prize (from as little as $5), a feature competition or becoming a partner is not only a great way to become involved in South Australia’s Largest Regional Show, but also a way to ensure its future.
The 2024 Gawler Show will be held on Saturday 24 August and Sunday 25 August at the Gawler Showgrounds on Nixon Terrace, Gawler. We see crowd numbers of around 25,000 – 30,000 people attend the Show annually.
Agricultural Shows across Australia contribute approximately $965 million to the Australian Economy every year with over a ¼ of the population attending their local shows and engaging over 50,000 volunteers countrywide. South Australia has the highest attendance record per capita in the entire country and this is a large contributor in making the Gawler Show not only the largest in the state but also currently one of the largest Regional Shows in Australia. Something the Gawler community can be extremely proud of.

Our 44 page full colour magazine is distributed to 11,000 people, through The Bunyip, via local businesses and at the Gawler Show.
