There will be
2 Giving Trees, 1 at 120 Murray Street, in ‘The Bunyip’ and 1 at 61 Murray
St, in ‘Gawler Flower Gallery’.
The Giving Trees are an opportunity for the community to donate gifts for
anyone who may not otherwise receive a Christmas Gift.
The GBDG has chosen to support The Gawler Community House, by passing along any
donated gifts received, to those who may attend their Christmas Day Lunch
event.
Families can be separated on Christmas Day for all sorts of reasons, such
as living interstate or overseas, work commitments, illness and many more.
The Gawler Community House, invite those who may otherwise be alone on
Christmas Day, to register for free, and join them instead. Bookings are
essential via 85224601.
Why be alone when you can celebrate the festive season with new friends?
We ask that those who choose to donate gifts, write on each wrapped gift,
the age range and gender suitable as the recipient. The attendees at this
event are typically of the older generation, however there are sometimes
a few families. So we ask that gifts donated will reflect this. Your
support, can help brighten someone’s day and is greatly appreciated.
