PROFIT IMPROVEMENT FOR EXISTING BUSINESSES PROGRAM

“So you have an established business but want to see some real growth and an increase in your profitability?”

Every business reaches a stage where they are doing okay but want to take a leap that will move it forward to the next level, well then this FREE program is for you.

Objective: Program participants increase their productivity, profitability and capacity to grow.

Duration : Six months, with workshop presentations of two hours’ duration

What will I get out of the program?

The Profit Improvement for Existing Businesses program helps businesses build on their current level of business knowledge and skills to support increased business growth, profitability and employment.

Workshops (on the following topics)

  • Profit Improvement – First steps
  • Measure What Matters
  • Accountability Drives Result
  • Building Customer Service Systems
  • Pricing for Profit
  • How to Win New Customers
  • How to Find Good People
  • Monthly Mentor Sessions – Each participant will be able to meet with the presenter for one hour per month to reinforce the learning from the core element or module and to assist with the adaption and implementation of strategies.
  • Support – In addition to the monthly mentor sessions each participant will have unlimited access to the presenter for telephone support and advice on aspects of business development and profit improvement.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A business that currently operates from the South Australian post codes of 5115, 5116 or 5118.
  • Business must have been operating for at least 3 years and have been profitable in at least one of those years, or able to demonstrate current profitability.
  • Business must have an ABN and be registered for GST
  • Must employ at least one full time equivalent in addition to owners or able to demonstrate plans in place to bring on employees at some stage during the program.

This program is being provided FREE of charge to eligible businesses by the Gawler Business Development Group and Philip Arnfield.

“You want to start a new business but have no idea where to start, who to contact and what to do?”
The FREE Business Fundamentals for Start Ups Program provides new startup ventures with information and assistance that is required to operate a successful enterprise.

Objective: Program participants develop a business plan and have the basic knowledge required to start a new business.
Duration: Delivered in five workshop modules, over a six month duration.

The Business Fundamentals for Start Ups Program will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to commence a start up business with all relevant things in place to turn your business dream into reality.

You have started your new business and are ready to take the next step to ensure your viability.

The Business Fundamentals Plus Program will expand on the knowledge and skills you gained in the Business Fundamentals for Start Ups Program. in addition to providing essential business information for growth focused, home based and early stage businesses.

Objective: Program participant’s continue to build their business knowledge and are able to increase their capacity to grow, in a sustainable and profitable manner.

Duration: Delivered over 6 month period but not concurrently with Business Fundamentals for Start Ups workshops.

What will I get out of the program?
The FREE Business Fundamentals Plus Program is a series of workshops that complement the Business Fundamentals for Start Ups program.

  • Digital Literacy for Businesses: how to grow your business in the digital world, fast broadband and your business, what technology you should invest in, social media, digital marketing and digital sales.

  • Employing and Un-employing Staff: the fundamental obligations that employers need to know under the Fair Work Act, using the expertise of Job Services Organisations to source and interview potential employees and work conditions/award entitlements.
  • Commercial Leasing: the 5 key things a business should know prior to signing a lease, understanding the opportunities and responsibilities of leasing,
