The Golden Fleece Hotel, established in 1839, was known as the Old Spot Hotel and has now returned to its original name. With great food, a new Pizza Baa, beer garden misters in the summer and a double sided gas fire in the winter, The Golden Fleece Hotel has a bright and inviting atmosphere, ideal for dining and socialising all year round.
The hotel has a large open plan dining room, bar and beer garden, private gaming room and undercover parking.
There’s always something new happening at the Fleece, whether it’s an exclusive price for our members such as beer and spirit of the month, a new cocktail special or a change to our delicious food and beverage selection.
The hotel underwent a major refurbishment in early 2014 to officially reopen with its original name. The new Golden Fleece Hotel has a rustic yet modern décor and is an ideal place to meet and dine with family and friends.
And as legend would have it, is also home to a resident ghost!
The Golden Fleece is open 8am – late everyday, closed for only two days of the year – Good Friday and Christmas Day.
